These really are super soft!

My daughter hates tights with a thick elastic waistband. She says they cut into her sides. These are wonderful and have the soft knit band (also available in Capezio’s “studio basics” line) that’s elastic-free. I think the fabric is durable and really soft. They wash well and retain their shape if you hang them to dry. We get many, many uses from a pair (provided you don’t poke a hole in them, which isn’t that easy to do…). This style has the convertible bottom foot which she uses when she does mat work in her dance class.
