These fit me well and are comfortable. The fabric is a synthetic that feels a bit different than anything I’ve come across before. The fabric is lightweight and looks as though it may breathe well, but I have not yet had the opportunity to wear them in hot weather. We camp, boat, and canoe quite a bit, and I DO think these shorts will dry quickly when they get wet; that will be very handy for me, later this summer.The belt is cut so very generously that there is quite a bit left over, and the leftover belt is just the wrong length (for me) to tuck neatly into the belt loops, so it hangs in a way I’m not over-fond of. I may end up cutting it shorter, but then I would have to melt the end, and that won’t look as nice (not that anyone would notice).Pockets. Oh, gosh pockets. This thing has pockets behind other pockets. Some open, some zippered, some Velcro, in a variety of shapes, sizes, and locations. I like that the twin pockets that seem intended for cell phones have a good flap and Velcro closure – no chance of your phone slipping out of those. Very well pocketed.The hook and clasp closure at the top of the zipper unfortunately seems a bit cheaply made, and I have some concern for its longevity. Likewise, the zippers have rather delicate teeth, for something sold as hiking wear. I would have preferred to see a more sturdy zipper, and closure.All in all, I’m happy with these shorts and feel that the price is fair. I do think they could take a look at improving the quality of the main zipper and closure. And … oh my … the pockets.

These are great shorts for hiking, camping, or really anything in the outdoors. They are very comfortable, and fit great. The size chart makes it easy to get a great fit. There are plenty of pockets, and the material is very lightweight. If you get wet, they Dry very fast, which is likely if you are outdoors. Great shorts, great price, highly recommended.
