These are lightweight pants (warm weather) and feel primarily of nylon with some stretch to them due to the spandex and they have a very subtle ‘ripstop’ tiny grid pattern on the material.Pros:- non-constricting fit. these are fairly loose on me and whether I’m squatting, sitting, etc there is no discomfort or impinging on my knees- quick drying – perfect for summer outdoors and anywhere that you think you might get wet- deep/normal front pockets. Some pants have front pockets that are too shallow and always feels like youre going to drop the contents. these are more like levi jeans depth- decent build quality (seams, pockets, zippers are ykk etc.)- inseam is a bit longer so ankles arent hanging out in the wind- fabric in the knee area is darted so it’s an anatomical fit in that areaCons:- i really dont like the front clasp design. This is the second pair of outdoor pants I’ve bought that have this style of metal clasp and I would prefer just a standard large button and buttonhole.- the zippered side pockets actually go towards the ‘backside’ of your leg. I dont normally carry stuff in the cargo pockets but it felt weird being behind my leg and moved around more than I would expect. This is best used for lightweight stuff and not phones or wallet.- uses elastic in the back of the waist area. not really a fan of this as it tends to stretch out over time.Other:- fit is slightly loose and ‘baggy’ with the Medium indicating a 30″ inseam but it kind of “puddles” around my ankles which is not particularly stylish looking. But it’s fine for hiking or having to get down a lot so not really a pro/conOverall the sizing chart was right on for me.For reference I’m 5’10”, 175 lbs, 33″ waist and 30″ inseam and you can see in the photo how the ‘medium’ fit on me.
