These are like a shortened “tech pant” – synthetic material with elastic waistband. There’s a functional fly, which I appreciate since I have some that just look like there’s a fly. The button is not functional which I think is just fine since I have some tech pants with a functional button that looks a tad sloppy so these have a better appearance overall.

When I received these, I was quite disappointed by the look and feel of the material upon opening the package. I did not think that I was going to like these shorts. I also did not realize that these did not have a top button when I ordered them, so I thought I would also hate that. But I have to say, upon wearing these, I really REALLY like them. They are very comfortable. They stretch well and the material feels good and quality. Aside from putting them on, there isn’t much need to have a top button, so I don’t miss not having it. The zipper still functions as it should, and you can still do what you got to do after a few drinks. For me, they seem very true to size. I ordered XL, and they fit as I would have hoped/expected. There are belt loops, so if a little big, you can easily add a belt and they stretch nicely, so if a little small, well, they stretch. The current price is $38.74, which seems about fair for this quality of a short. I think the tag said the “retail price” was $60, but in my opinion, that would definitely be too much for these. Having now worn them, I am very pleased and would definitely order again if not paying “full retail”.
